Lindsay Turcotte, Senior Manager at KT Partners LLP, is known for her love of riding and training horses, when she is not working with the firm’s clients and staff.
On October 4, 2024, Lindsay and her equine partner Real Grace were featured in an article by Natalie Voss for The Chronicle of the Horse. The article, “Thoroughbred Makeover Contestant: ‘He Showed Me What You Can Do If You Just Keep Fighting” is a fascinating story about working with retired racehorses, and the difficult but rewarding task of developing them for second careers.
We think you’ll enjoy this read.
Lindsay contributes to various communities by running a volunteer service advertising horses retiring from the racetrack. Such horses are made available for purchase, by the non-racing public, for new careers. She also assists in finding safe and knowledgeable temporary homes, for injured racehorses in need of rehabilitation prior to securing a new career. She is now expanding this activity, and developing a formal non-profit to rehabilitate and adopt out retiring racehorses in need of extra care. This non-profit, under contract, will help to provide a bigger safety net for these horses in the future.
Great work Lindsay! We’re proud of your accomplishments.
